DraftKings NFL Full Slate Preview

HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

The 2022/23 NFL season keeps moving fast, and we are already eleven weeks in. The good thing for us is we are now finding trends on what teams are good at and not so good at, so hopefully, we can keep this profit train rolling.

Three games await us on the DraftKings Thanksgiving main slate. Today’s article will highlight the games with the highest over/under scores according to Vegas, favourite stacks, and players I like from each game on DraftKings.

Now let’s get to it!

DRAFTKINGS MAIN SLATE

The NFL main slate is easy enough to understand; simply pick nine players, one quarterback, two running backs, three wide receivers, one tight end, one flex position (RB, WR, TE) and one defence within a $50,000 budget.

Whatever contests you are playing, the best advice I can give for these slates is to look at projected ownerships, over/under game totals, stacking, create a player pool (about 30 players max for me) and stick to your decisions.

THANKSGIVING

Bills -9.5 @ Lions: 54.5

Thanksgiving starts with the highest total on the slate between the juggernaut Buffalo Bills versus one of the weakest defences in the league, the Detroit Lions. This game will take place in Detroit’s Ford Field dome which should give us a fantasy-friendly game environment.

Josh Allen, Bills – $8,000 Bounce back game for Allen against a very friendly Detroit defence. Highest ceiling on the slate of any player at the position and it’s not even close. Will be popular but a lock-in cash games.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Lions – $6,600 Tough matchup for Goff’s favourite target, but he should get there on volume alone. We just watched Justin Jefferson destroy this Bills secondary so that gives me even more confidence in the sun god for a bring back in this game.

James Cook, Bills – $4,400 Season high in attempts last week which is a great sign for a young running back against a Detroit defence that gives up a ton of points to the position. Very cheap tag as well so he doesn’t need to do much.

Others to consider for me – Devin Singletary, Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, Kalif Raymond, Jamaal Williams and Dawson Knox.

Giants +10 @ Cowboys: 45.5

The middle game on this three-game slate features two NFC East rivals who will look to keep playoff hopes alive. The Giants are beaten up and the Cowboys are getting healthier, surely this can only go one way?

Dak Prescott, Cowboys – $6,200 My favourite pivot off of Josh Allen stacks. Dak’s target tree feels very condensed reducing the number of things you have to get right when constructing your DFS lineup with him. My only real concern is if the Cowboys get up big early and run the ball down the Giant’s throat.

Daniel Jones, Giants – $5,500  Jones can do damage on his legs and Dallas has shown weaknesses this year defending a dual-threat QB (Justin Fields in Week 8). If you want to get different at the position Jones might be the answer in a potentially favourable game script for him.

Isaiah Hodgins, Giants – $3,000 One of my favourite punt WRs on the Thanksgiving slate. Saw three targets last week and gained 29 receiving yards. Will not have much competition due to an injured Giants receiving corps.

Others to consider for me – CeeDee Lamb, Dalton Schultz, Tony Pollard, Saquon Barkley, Darius Slayton, Tanner Hudson and Darius Slayton.

Patriots +2.5 @ Vikings: 42.5

Lowest total of the day but as always I think we can find some gems to help round out your DFS lineup, especially when the game features a bonafide superstar in Justin Jefferson.

Justin Jefferson, Vikings – $8,200 Absolute stud who I predict gets back on track this week. The Patriots are good against the position but this is back home for Jefferson in a dome and we saw what he did to a stout Bills defence recently.

Rhamondre Stevenson, Patriots – $6,400 The Patriots want to run the ball it’s in their DNA. They will look to establish it quickly here against a Vikings defence that has given up the tenth most fantasy points to the position on the year. Stevenson is game script proof so I prefer him over Damien Harris.

Adam Thielen, Vikings – $4,900 The Patriots are renowned for taking away the opposing team’s best weapons. This may result in increased opportunity for Thielen despite the subpar box scores so far this season.

Others to consider for me – Kirk Cousins, TJ Hockenson, Dalvin Cook, Jakobi Meyers, and Hunter Henry

DST POOL

Just play whatever fits here on a small slate like this. Buffalo would be my favourite play if I can get to it.

Stacking and Bring backs

Below is a list of my top three stack options with a bring-back on the other side.

  1. Josh Allen, $8,000; Stefon Diggs, $8,000; and Amon-Ra St. Brown, $6,600.
  2. Dak Prescott, $6,200; CeeDee Lamb, $7,100; and Isaiah Hodgins, $3,000.
  3. Kirk Cousins, $5,600; Justin Jefferson, $8,200; and Jakobi Meyers, $5,100.

Thanks, and good luck. I will be back on Sunday to run down the main slate.
