A late fixture change sees Sunday Night Football included in this weeks DFS main slate game. With some extra players to choose from and following a bye week personally in DFS, I’m back and feeling good to add some more dollars to the winning pot.
QB – Aaron Rodgers, $7,000 – Lets be honest, can anyone remember back to back poor performances from Aaron Rodgers? His dismal shopwing against the Bucs will quickly be forgotten as the Packers hit the road again to take on the Texans. The Texans defence is ranked 30th in yards allowed and with top back Aaron Jones likley out there could be even more reliance than normal on number 12 to win this one with his arm.
RB – Kareem Hunt, $6,800- The Browns run game was held in check by Pittsburgh last weekend. Rewind a little further though to week 2 and Kareem Hunt and co ran all over the Bengals. The Bengals will not have DJ Reader this time around and maybe more importantly, the Browns will not have Nick Chubb. Look for more Hunt touches including the receiving game as the Browns look to get back on track.
RB – Alvin Kamara, $7,900 – Kamara is about as reliable of a play as you can make in DFS. He is such a focal point of the Saints offence and with the status of Michael Thomas up in the air once again, I’m starting the running back with confidence. With a week of rest in his legs I expect Alvin to be used early and often in this one. He was held without a touchdown for the first time on the season last time out, look for that to be rectified.
WR – Kenny Golladay, $6,700 – Quite simply, give me any teams number 1 receiver against this Falcons defence. The Falcons rank 31st against the pass. Justin Jefferson burned them for 166 yards and 2 touchdowns last weekend. In a game that could very well be high scoring I’m expecting Golladay to record his first monster game of the season. Anything less than 3 figures receiving with a touchdown on top and I will be disappointed.
WR – Christian Kirk – The Cardinals are going to have to score plenty to hang with Seattle. I like Kirk in this spot from a sheer value perspective. He seems to have put the early season injury concerns behind him and has had 2 solid fantasy days back to back. Highlighted by a big touchdown against the Cowboys he has over 160 yards and 2 touchdowns over the past fortnight. A Seahawks defence ranked dead last against the pass allows the chance for that streak to continue.
WR – Keenan Allen, $6,200 – Allen was quiet last time out but did find the end zone against the Saints. Before that he has been his usual target hog and will look to reprise that role in a favourable matchup against the Jags. Justin Herbert has this passing game cooking on all cylinders and with doubts over Joshua Kelly the Chargers may lean on the arm of the young signal caller even more. Look for Allen to be a main beneficary.
TE – Tyler Kroft $3,100 – Thanks to his wife being in labour, Tyler Kroft is the only Bills tight end not on the COVID reserve list. His production to date certainly doesn’t scream “play me” but the fact he likely sees close to 100% of the snaps in this one and the Bills target the tight end in the red zone and I will buy. It could be touchdown or bust but I will roll the dice, particularly with the opponent being the Jets!
FLEX – Jamal Williams $4,000- A late change to my lineup with Aaron Jones likely sitting out. I explained earlier that Aaron Rodgers may well do even more with his arm than usual but Williams is in line for an increase in whatever backfield work is on offer. This feels a safe play for the cap cost for the veteran. He is averaging 4.3 YPC and has caught 13 of 14 targets on the season. In other words, he is reliable enough when given opportunities.
DST – Los Angeles Chargers, $3,400 – I like the Chargers defence in general. They are yet to turn in a stellar fantasy day despite some impressive displays on the field. Gardener Minshew is prone to the interception and I don’t see the Chargers yielding many points. Hopefully sacks and turnovers lead to a few bonus points.
Good luck if you are playing in week number 7. Catch me tomorrow on the Full10 Yards NFL podcast where we will be reviewing all of the action.
